It was a nailbiter, but Merriott came through 71-70 in the Wessex Cup semi Final against the old foe Yeovil. With three rinks completed the scores were tied. The teams on the fourth rink were drawing 14-14 after 20 ends. However, the Merriott four scored a single shot on the last end to book our place in the final to face South Petherton. The game will be played at a neutral venue on or before Sunday 1st September. We lost the 2022 final heavily against the same opponents, so this is a chance for redemption.
