In early December nearly 30 members and friends of Merriott Bowls club enjoyed a bowls weekend away in Torquay. With games on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday there was plenty of opportunities for the players, while the non players took to the shops for some pre-Christmas retail therapy.
A great time was had by all, although some of the men discovered that they should stick to bowls and drop any pretentions of playing snooker!
