It may still be early in the season, but Merriott bowls club are enjoying success in a number of their games.
In the Wessex Mixed Fours league Merriott have won all three of their games, beating Gillingham, Frome Park and Severalls.
Two club members won their recent match in the national pairs competition, but even better they scored a ‘Hot Shot’ with a perfect end during the game.
The third of the internal one day competitions was the club triples. The format had to be changed at the last minute due to players unavailability due to illness, but after a very close result the competition was won by Barbara English, Christine Legg, and Martyn Putland.
