This year we have the choice of two possible Autumn/Winter ‘tours’. The club has been to both before so there are members who can tell you more if you ask.
The options are an October break at Ashbury Manor near Oakhampton. This is the more expensive but includes lunches and an enormous number of free or low cost activities. Last year our members did curling, skittles, snooker, needle felting, crazy golf, rifle shooting, ten pin bowling and more. During the last few months all the rooms and the restaurant have been refitted and upgraded. Cost £643.50 for 2 people in shared room.
The second option is in December at the TLH resort. Staying at the Victoria, next door to our previous hotel, we still have access to the previous facilities. Lunches are not included, and activities are more limited, although it is a lower cost. The cost is £352 for 2 people in shared room.
Both trips are Friday to Monday (3 nights) and include three games of bowls, one umbrella and two against other clubs. More information is given below.
To decide where to go we have set up a voting system. You can vote for one option, the other, or both. If one option gets more than 20 votes David Baker will organise it. If both get more than 20 votes we will need another volunteer to arrange the Torquay trip.

Pros – Full Board. Enormous number of activities you can choose individually or in groups. Last year food was considered superior. Rooms have been fully updated this winter.
